Virgin Birth
The Son of God and the Son of Man
Matthew 1:18-25 (TS2009)
But the birth of YHWSO Messiah was as follows: After His mother Miryam was engaged to Yoseph, before they came together, she was found to be pregnant from the Set-apart Spirit. And Yoseph her husband, being righteous, and not wishing to make a show of her, had in mind to put her away secretly. But while he thought about this, see, a messenger of YHWH appeared to him in a dream, saying, "Yoseph, son of Dawid, do not be afraid to take Miryam as your wife, for that which is in her was brought forth from the Set-apart Spirit. "And she shall give birth to a Son, and you shall call His Name YHWSO for He shall save His people from their sins. And all this came to be in order to fill what was spoken by YHWH through the prophet, saying, "See, an 'almah' shall conceive, and she shall give birth to a Son, and they shall call His Name Immanu'el," which translated, means, "El with us." And Yoseph, awaking from his sleep, did as the messenger of YHWH commanded him and took his wife, but knew her not until she gave birth to her Son, the first-born. And he called His Name YHWSO.
Luke 1:26-37 (TS2009)
And in the sixth month the messenger Gabri'el was sent by Elohim to a city of Galil named Natsareth, to a maiden engaged to a man whose name was Yoseph, of the house of Dawid. And the maiden's name was Miryam. And the messenger, coming to her, said, "Greetings, favoured one, the Master is with you. Blessed are you among women!" But she was greatly disturbed at his word, and wondered what kind of greeting this was. And the messenger said to her, "Do not be afraid, Miryam, for you have found favour with Elohim. And see, you shall conceive in your womb, and shall give birth to a Son, and call His Name YHWSO "He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Most High. And YHWH Elohim shall give Him the throne of His father Dawid. "And He shall reign over the house of Yaaqob forever, and there shall be no end to His reign." And Miryam said to the messenger, "How shall this be, since I do not know a man?" And the messenger answering, said to her, "The Set-apart Spirit shall come upon you, and the power of the Most High shall overshadow you. And for that reason the Set-apart One born of you shall be called: Son of Elohim. "And see, Elisheba your relative, she has also conceived a son in her old age. And this is now the sixth month to her who was called barren, "because with Elohim no matter shall be impossible.
That which is in her was brought forth from the Set-apart Spirit. It clearly says that Mary was made pregnant by the Set-apart Spirit. Joseph wanted to put away Mary secretly because she was found to be pregnant. This of course implies that Joseph had to be sure that Mary was pregnant from another man. The only legal reason for a Hebrew man to be able to put away his bethrothed or wife was when she had lain with another man. The text further strongly implies that Joseph did not have sexual intercourse with Mary until the moment YHWSO was born. The Hebrew word "almah" is usually translated as "virgin" according to the Strong's Hebrew Lexicon (KJV). See also Isaiah 7:14. Of course nobody doubts that God had the ability to impregnate Mary miraculously because with Elohim no matter shall be impossible (Luke 1:37). Among people there is much confusion and debate about the birth of YHWSO. But these inspired Gospels clearly outline the miraculous birth of the Son of God.
Genealogy
Matthew 1:1-2,15-16 (TS2009)
The book of the genealogy of YHWSO Messiah, Son of Dawid, Son of Abraham: Abraham brought forth Yitshaq, and Yitshaq brought forth Yaaqob, and Yaaqob brought forth Yehudah and his brothers. ... And Elihud brought forth Elazar, and Elazar brought forth Mattan, and Mattan brought forth Yaaqob. And Yaaqob brought forth Yoseph the husband of Miryam, of whom was born YHWSO who is called Messiah.
Luke 3:23-38 (TS2009)
And when YHWSO Himself began, He was about thirty years of age, being, as reckoned by law, son of Yoseph, of Eli, of Mattithyahu, of Lewi, of Meleki, of Yanah, of Yoseph, of Mattithyahu, of Amots, of Nahum, of Hesli, of Noah, of Maath, of Mattithyahu, of Shimi, of Yoseph, of Yehudah, of Yohanan, of Rephayah, of Zerubbabel, of She'alti'el, of Neri, of Meleki, of Addi, of Qosam, of Elmodam, of Er, of Yehoshua, of Eliezer, of Yorim, of Mattithyahu, of Lewi, of Shimon, of Yehudah, of Yoseph, of Yonam, of Elyaqim, of Melea, of Menna, of Mattattah, of Nathan, of Dawid, of Yishai, of Obed, of Boaz, of Salmon, of Nahshon, of Amminadab, of Ram, of Hetsron, of Perets, of Yehudah, of Yaaqob, of Yitshaq, of Abraham, of Terah, of Nahor, of Seru, of Reu, of Pele, of Eber, of Shelah, of Qeynan, of Arpakshad, of Shem, of Noah, of Lemek, of Methushelah, of Hanok, of Yered, of Mahalalel, of Qeynan, of Enosh, of Sheth, of Adam, of Elohim.
The Scriptures give the genealogy of YHWSO Messiah. He is called the Son of David and the Son of Abraham. The genealogy leads down to Joseph who is labeled the husband of Mary. In Luke a genealogy is given as well. But note that it says son of Joseph as reckoned by law. There can be no doubt that YHWSO, in the flesh, was born from Mary. Paul said:But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons.(Galatians 4:4-5). Born of woman AND born under the law. YHWSO's lineage is traced back via Adam to God. The lineage from Adam to Joseph is a human lineage. But the step from God to Adam is of course not part of any human lineage. Adam was the first man created supernaturally by God. So what about the step from Joseph to YHWSO Messiah?
Son of God
Colossians 1:15 (TS2009)
who is the likeness of the invisible Elohim, the first-born of all creation.
Matthew 3:16-17 (TS2009)
And having been immersed, YHWSO went up immediately from the water, and see, the heavens were opened, and He saw the Spirit of Elohim descending like a dove and coming upon Him, and see, a voice out of the heavens, saying, "This is My Son, the Beloved, in whom I delight."
Above all YHWSO is the Son of God. Throughout the lineages given in Matthew and Luke He remains first of all the Son of God.
Son of David
Matthew 12:22-23 (TS2009)
Then they brought to Him one who was demon-possessed, blind and dumb. And He healed him, so that the blind and dumb man both spoke and saw. And all the crowds were amazed and said, "Is this the Son of Dawid?"
The Jews believed that the Messiah would be a human descendant of King David.
Matthew 22:41-45 (TS2009)
And when the Pharisees were gathered together, YHWSO asked them, saying, "What do you think concerning the Messiah? Whose Son is He?" They said to Him, "The Son of Dawid." He said to them, "Then how does Dawid in the Spirit call Him 'Master,' saying, YHWH said to my Master, "Sit at My right hand, until I make Your enemies a footstool of Your feet" '? If then Dawid calls Him 'Master,' how is He his Son?
King David calls the Messiah his Master. See also Psalms 110.
Luke 1:32 (TS2009)
And YHWH Elohim shall give Him the throne of His father Dawid.
YHWSO was the Son of God above anything else. God gave the throne of David to the Messiah. But did that mean that David's human lineage would be preserved? No, David's human lineage would be broken by the death and resurrection of the Messiah as King of Kings in heaven in the spirit. After that the Son of God will never come back in the flesh. King David himself said about the Son of God:YHWH has sworn and does not relent, “You are a priest forever According to the order of Malkitsedeq.(Psalms 110).
From David's inward parts
2 Samuel 7:12-13 (TS2009)
When your days are filled and you rest with your fathers, I shall raise up your seed after you, who comes from your inward parts, and shall establish his reign. "He does build a house for My Name, and I shall establish the throne of his reign forever.
Here God speaks to King David. He says that He will raise up David's seed after him who comes from his inward parts. From the context it is clear that the word seed refers to one person because God will establish his reign. Obviously God says that the throne of David's descendant will be established forever. This talks about the throne in heaven. So the king of the throne in heaven could never be a human descendant of David. Likewise God's chosen people who will rule with the Son of God in heaven will have to born again in the spirit. The Messiah said:Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born from above, he is unable to see the reign of Elohim.(John 3:3)
Psalms 51-6 (TS2009)
See, You have desired truth in the inward parts, And in the hidden part You make me know wisdom.
What does truth have to do with the inward parts of David? Isaiah prophesiedAnd in loving-commitment the throne shall be established. And One shall sit on it in truth, in the Tent of Dawid, judging and seeking right-ruling, and speeding righteousness.(Isaiah 16-5). Isaiah prophesied about YHWSO Messiah Who Himself saidI am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.(John 14:6).
Jeremiah 31:33 (TS2009)
For this is the covenant I shall make with the house of Yisra'el after those days, declares YHWH: I shall put My Torah in their inward parts, and write it on their hearts. And I shall be their Elohim, and they shall be My people.
Interesting. God will put the Torah of Messiah (Galatians 6:2) on their inward parts. This is a spiritual Torah. David was chosen by God to lead His people because of his heart (1 Samuel 16:7). God knows the hearts of men (1 Kings 8:39). Paul further said...
Acts 13:22-23, 36-37 (TS2009)
And having removed him, He raised up for them Dawid as sovereign, to whom also He gave witness and said, 'I have found Dawid the son of Yishai, a man after My own heart, who shall do all My desires.' " "From this one's seed, according to the promise, Elohim raised up for Yisra'el a Saviour, YHWSO, ... For Dawid, indeed, having served his own generation by the counsel of Elohim, fell asleep, was buried with his fathers, and saw corruption,” but He whom Elohim raised up saw no corruption.
Another parallel between King David and YHWSO Messiah. But David was a corrupt human descendant of Adam who inherited Adam's sin. The Messiah didn't inherit Adam's sin and was not corrupt, a descendant of God, otherwise there would be no point in sending Him in the first place. The Son of God had to be born as a perfect man. He was also born as a Jew and under Jewish tradition and law He was the descendant of Joseph Halleluyah!
Seed of Abraham
Galatians 3:6-8,16,29 (TS2009)
Even so Abraham "did believe Elohim, and it was reckoned unto him as righteousness." Know, then, that those who are of belief are sons of Abraham. And the Scripture, having foreseen that Elohim would declare right the nations by belief, announced the Good News to Abraham beforehand, saying, "All the nations shall be blessed in you," ... But the promises were spoken to Abraham, and to his Seed. He does not say, "And to seeds," as of many, but as of one, "And to your Seed," who is Messiah. ... And if you are of Messiah, then you are seed of Abraham, and heirs according to promise.
The Messiah is of course not literal seed. Those who are of Messiah are also seed of Abraham, not because they literally descended from Abraham, but because they believe in Messiah. In Revelation 12:17 the word seed is used forthose guarding the commands of Elohim and possessing the witness of YHWSO Messiah. So that has nothing to do with literal seed or a literal human lineage. The Hebrew word Abraham means father of a multitude.
According to the flesh
Acts 2:29-30 (TS2009)
Men and brothers, let me speak boldly to you of the ancestor Dawid, that he died and was buried, and his tomb is with us to this day. "Being a prophet, then, and knowing that Elohim had sworn with an oath to him: of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, to raise up the Messiah to sit on his throne,
Some people say that the phrase fruit of his loins, according to the flesh means that YHWSO Messiah was a human descendant of David genetically through Joseph. But the Kingdom of God cannot be inherited by flesh and blood. The Messiah sits on the throne in heaven, not on earth like David, so the Messiah is not a physical descendant of David. Neither would it agree with the accounts of Matthew and Luke. Paul says...
Romans 8:3 (TS2009)
For the Torah being powerless, in that it was weak through the flesh, Elohim, having sent His own Son in the likeness of flesh of sin, and concerning sin, condemned sin in the flesh,
2 Corinthians 5:16 (TS2009)
So from now onwards we know no one according to the flesh. And if we have known Messiah according to the flesh, yet now we no longer know Him thus.
The Messiah according to the flesh simply talks about the Messiah as a human being.
Isaiah 11:5 (TS2009)
And righteousness shall be the girdle of His loins, and trustworthiness the girdle of His waist.
For a striking use of loins see Jeremiah 13.
Son of Adam
Matthew 12:8 (TS2009)
For the Son of Adam is Master of the Sabbath.
YHWSO Messiah is also called Son of Adam. Paul explains...
1 Corinthians 15:44-47 (TS2009)
it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body; there is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. And so it has been written, "The first man Adam became a living being," the last Adam a life-giving Spirit. The spiritual, however, was not first, but the natural, and afterward the spiritual. The first man was of the earth, earthy; the second Man is the Master from heaven.
YHWSO was the first-born creation of God, the Son of God, a spirit. Adam was created from dust of the earth. YHWSO became the "second Adam" who was born on earth as a perfect man (to do what Adam couldn't).
Romans 5:12-14 (TS2009)
For this reason, even as through one man sin did enter into the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned — for until the Torah, sin was in the world, but sin is not reckoned when there is no Torah. But death reigned from Adam until Mosheh, even over those who had not sinned according to the likeness of the transgression of Adam, who is a type of Him who was to come.
1 John 3:5 (TS2009)
And you know that He was manifested to take away our sins, and in Him there is no sin.
What is the difference between Adam and all his [human] descendants? Adam was created perfect in the Image of God. But Adam became a sinner by disobeying God and through Adam the Creation became corrupt and mankind inherited death through Adam. Because all sinned. YHWSO Messiah was created perfect, like Adam in the beginning, but He never sinned and overcame death, unlike Adam.
