Power
Absolute power corrupts absolutely
In a capitalist democracy, such as the United States, it is controlled by what Professor C. Wright Mills has called the Power Elite. This Power Elite directly employs several millions of the country's working force in its factories, offices and stores, controls many millions more by lending them the money to buy its products, and, through its ownership of the media of mass communication influences the thoughts, the feelings and the actions of virtually everybody.
Cui bono? Personal gain is the number one motive in a materialistic world. The power elite work closely together in order to protect their own interests and those of the power elite above them. They own and control the major financial institutions and tax havens by which they enrich themselves at the expense of the rest. They own the world's largest for-profit corporations exploiting the earth, its resources and the people. They own and control the media and educational system, including major universities, which are all used to control the ideas and beliefs of the masses.

Where law ends, there tyranny begins.

They own and control the judicial system and place themselves above the law. By means of their own think tanks, NGO's and foundations they give the false impression of impartiality and often present themselves as philanthropists while extreme inequality keeps growing in their favor. They own politicians who sell the elite's agenda to the masses by means of lies, deceit and omission. These crony politicians are usually rewarded afterwards with lucrative positions in corporations, banks or other international organizations owned by the power elite. Their agenda is globalization which is fundamentally opposed to sovereignty and democracy.
Power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely.

It is also important to understand that power attracts the corruptible. Like predators are found around preys power-hungry people are found where most of the money is and hunt for positions of power. Money and power are closely related in a materialistic world.

Liberty consists in the division of power. Absolutism in concentration of power.*

Because power and corruption go hand in hand it is best to limit power of leaders as much as possible**, but with globalization the opposite happens, more and more power is concentrated in international organizations and multinationals owned by the power elite, taken away from nation states and people.

When secrecy surrounds government and the activities of public servants, corruption has a breeding place.

Secrecy is inherently linked to corruption and it is rampant in the world of human power. In 2015 David Cuillier talked about increased secrecy throughout the country at the state and federal level.* For example Barack Obama's administration became known for its secrecy.* The power elite label everything top secret which they don't want the world to know, for obvious reasons. Tax havens and financial secrecy are installed and maintained by the elite to conceal their corruption and increase economic inequality in their own favor.
Transnational corporations form a giant bow-tie structure and that a large portion of control flows to a small tightly-knit core of financial institutions. ... many actors belong to the financial sector ... and many of the names are well-known global players ... powerful players... do not carry out their business in isolation... they are tied together in an extremely entangled web of control.

A conspiracy is defined as a secretive agreement between two or more people to their own benefit. To believe that powerful people at the top don't work together to their own benefit is naivity to the extreme. History is replete with conspiracies. Great historical events are usually the result of powerful people making alliances to their own benefit. Conspiracy is not a theory, but a reality.
In 1981 Carroll Quigley published a book called Anglo-American Establishment in which he exposes the Rhodes Secret Society established in London in 1891 by Cecil Rhodes. That secret society was named the Milner Group in 1901 when Alfred Milner took control. It is also called the Round Table movement and is known for the magazine Round Table being the propaganda vehicle of a handful of people... aimed at influencing those in position to influence public opinion. Rhodes and Milner both felt that this band should pursue its goal by secret political and economic influence behind the scenes and by the control of journalistic, educational, and propaganda agencies. They controlled newspaper The Times of London via Geoffrey Dawson, a member of Milner's Kindergarten. All Souls College at Oxford was under their control. The UK's Ministry of Information was one of the fiefs of the Group and used as a Government department responsible for publicity and propaganda during the Second World War.*

On the American side there were for example J. P. Morgan, with his group called The Inquiry*, and the Ford and Rockefeller's Council on Foreign Relations which had significant influence. The Rothschilds exerted influence in the United States through for example August Belmont*. Belmont, in association with the Rothschilds, was part of the early development of the North Atlantic economic community in which Prime, Ward, and King; Nevins, Townsend; Baring Brothers; Lloyds, and many other banking firms were involved.*
Why should we not form a secret society with but one object, the furtherance of the British Empire and the bringing of the whole world under British rule, for the recovery of the United States, for making the Anglo Saxon race but one Empire?*

The goal of these globalists was to expand the British Empire, including the United States, and ultimately achieve world domination. The Anglo-American Empire can be seen as an extension of the British Empire. World War I and World War II played significant roles in the transformation to Anglo-American Empire which ever since dominated the world in economic, military and propaganda power.

Cecil Rhodes was an imperialist for the British Empire who played a key role in the Second Boer War which was initiated after the Jameson Raid, the plot against the Boer government of Paul Kruger, failed. Rhodes was financed by the Rothschild family, one of the richest banking families on earth, for building his diamond company De Beers by which the power elite exploited Africa. The British South Africa Company* was also financed by the Rothschilds. Frank Aydelotte wrote that in 1888 Rhodes made his third will ... leaving everything to Lord Rothschild, with an accompanying letter enclosing “the written matter discussed between us.”
Another key figure was Jan Smuts who acted as a representative of the Boers during the Second Boer War against the British while later he eventually concluded that South Africa's future lay as a self-governing state within the British Empire* and helped to create the British Commonwealth of Nations. Jan Smuts was an apostle of world government and international co-operation and helped to structure the League of Nations and draft its Covenant.* The League of Nations was the precursor of the United Nations which became one of the major organizations run by the globalist elite by which they centralized more and more power in the world. The ultimate goal of these globalists was and is to create a world government.

No country that values its safety should allow ... that a small number of men should be able to wield such power in administration and politics, should be given almost complete control over the publication of the documents relating to their actions, should be able to exercise such influence over the avenues of information that create public opinion, and should be able to monopolize so completely the writing and the teaching of the history of their own period.
