The United Nations came into being in 1945, following the devastation of the Second World War, with one central mission: the maintenance of international peace and security. The UN does this by working to prevent conflict; helping parties in conflict make peace; peacekeeping; and creating the conditions to allow peace to hold and flourish.
The United Nations is the mother of all globalist organizations. "Peace and security" is a very popular slogan by the globalist power elite. It is what they said before with the creation of the League of Nations directly after World War I. But World War I was not the end of war because the so-called "peace" Treaty of Versailles was the prelude to World War II. And the end of World War II was the beginning of the Cold War. During this period many proxy wars were fought. In addition many aggressive wars were fought led by the United States and the United Kingdom, two permanent members of the U.N. Security Council.
Membership in the United Nations is open to all other peace-loving states which accept the obligations contained in the present Charter and, in the judgment of the Organization, are able and willing to carry out these obligations.
While colonialsim was still normal under the League of Nations, under the United Nations the world went from colonialism to neocolonialism. Many imperial nations reluctantly gave up their colonies after which they installed a new form of colonialism by means of financial and economic control. Imperialism transformed into globalization. South Africa became member when it ruled by means of a brutal apartheid regime. Chile went from dictator to dictator during its membership. Saudi Barbaria was a member from the beginning. Ukraine is known as the most corrupt nation in Europe. Russia or the Soviet Union was led by someone who made Hitler look like a schoolboy: Joseph Stalin. Argentina's Peronism was labeled Latin American fascism. Many leaderships were human rights violators when they became members and they were human rights abusers during their memberships. Etcetera.
The 5 UN Security Council permanent members are generally the largest arms dealers. The five permanent United Nations Security Council members are United States, Russia, China, UK and France and they are also the world's leading arms dealers. They are all nuclear powers and form a nuclear veto club which tells the rest of the world to do as they say, not as they do. For example Iran has the right to a peaceful, domestic nuclear energy program. This is affirmed by international law via the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. And Iran is a sovereign nation which has the right to defend itself from a possible attack from for example enemies like Israel or the United States who are known for their aggression in the Middle East and beyond. Iran is prohibited from nuclear energy by especially Israel and the United States. Since 1982, the U.S. has vetoed 32 Security Council resolutions critical of Israel, more than the total number of vetoes cast by all the other Security Council members. Israel was a creation made possible by primarily the US and the UN.
The Oil-for-Food Programme was introduced by United States President Bill Clinton's administration in 1995, as a response to arguments that ordinary Iraqi citizens were inordinately affected by the international economic sanctions aimed at the demilitarisation of Saddam Hussein's Iraq, imposed in the wake of the first Gulf War. It was plagued by corruption and all this happened under the auspices of Boutros Boutros-Ghali, sixth Secretary-General of the United Nations. He would later be replaced by Kofi Annan who was accused of gross mismanagement in the final report of the Paul Volcker Committee.
The 500-page report paints an ugly tableau of bribery, kickbacks, corruption, and fraud on a global scale-without a doubt the biggest financial scandal in modern history. It amply demonstrates how the Iraqi dictator generously rewarded those who supported the lifting of U.N. sanctions on Iraq and who paid lip-service to his barbaric regime. Oil-for-Food became a shameless political charade through which Saddam Hussein attempted to manipulate decision-making at the U.N. Security Council by buying the support of influential figures in Russia and France.
Mr Boutros-Ghali in May 1996 confidentially met the French ambassador to advise him of the names of three French banks that Iraq would accept. BNP had not been included on a long UN list and did not meet UN Treasury criteria, but was put on the shortlist in June. “Ultimately, the selection fell to secretary general Boutros-Ghali,” the report said. The picture is further complicated by the committee's finding that a man called Fred Nadler acted as a go-between for Mr Sevan and Mr Abdelnour. Mr Nadler's sister, Leia, is Mr Boutros-Ghali's wife.
Benon Sevan was the head of the United Nations' Oil-for-Food Programme. He stonewalled efforts to review and investigate the programme. Probably because he wascharged with taking nearly $160,000 in bribes and later fled to his native Cyprus. Natwar Singh stepped down as foreign minister of India in November 2005 amidallegations that he and his son had benefited from the scam. Later in 2014 he wrote a book called 'One Life' in which he sticks feathers up his own ass and blames other politicians in India for corruption. One life is certainly not enough for all the corruption and lies these kind of people have in store for the world. According to BBCMore than 2,000 firms linked to the UN oil-for-food programme in Iraq were involved* The western banking cartel was also involved because such level of corruption needs a financial backbone to be possible in the first place. Not unimportant to mention, Paul Volcker was linked to the Federal Reserve for a long time and he is a friend of the western power elite, so imagine the result of an independent research into the corruption at the UN.
The UN has to date not been effective in preventing genocide, and has had only a slightly better record in stopping it. There have been occasions when its interventions has occurred only after a genocide has taken place, and even then its major focus has been on facilitating the provision of aid by non-governmental agencies rather than on the task of tracking down the perpetrators and bringing them to justice.
According to Deborah MayersenThe UN was unable to respond effectively to the genocides in Cambodia, Rwanda, the Balkans and Darfur. The Srebrenica massacre and the Darfur crisis are examples where the UN failed miserably in preventing genocide. See for example the documentary "Srebrenica massacre: Is it meant to be?" First the United Nations fails miserably to protect thousands of innocent people, whom they promised to protect with help of NATO air defense, and then in 1999 they used NATO to bomb Yugoslavia to oblivion in order to change its regime in their favor. Thanks to the United Nations genocides keep taking place. Even Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director-General of the United Nations specialized agency World Health Organization, is accused of genocide in Ethiopia. See UNhealth.
The Rockefeller Foundation
The Rockefeller Foundation played an important role in the transition from the League of Nations to the United Nations through its collaboration with two international organisations. The first was the Economic, Financial and Transit Department (EFTD) of the LoN. By financing its move to the United States and all of its work during the Second World War, the RF would allow it to make a major contribution to the reorganisation of the global economic order after 1945. The second organisation was the United Nations Relief and Rehabilitation Administration (UNRRA), which the RF provided with staff, working methods, and a network of contacts around the world. The RF was thus deeply involved in the redefinition of the overall structure of the system of international organisations during WWII.
The Rockefellers are globalists with tremendous power and they were instrumental in the decision to locate the United Nations in New York. On 25 March 1947 the Rockefellers gave the Secretary-General of the United Nations a check for $8,500,000 for the purchase of the 6-block Manhattan East River site. The Rockefeller Foundation has supported United Nations programs throughout its history. Ironically, the UN headquarters are built on the site of a former slaughter house where so many livestock were killed that the area used to be called “blood alley.”
Peacekeeping and child sexual abuse
In March 2016, the United Nations Security Council adopted its first resolution devoted entirely to the prevention of peacekeeper sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) in peace operations. This article examines resolution 2272 by drawing on past practice and the perspective of those at mission sites—namely, Timor-Leste—arguing that the mechanism it establishes—repatriation—is limited in its capacity to prevent SEA and provide justice outcomes. The article demonstrates the pervasive sense of powerlessness regarding SEA and the impunity of those who do perpetrate SEA. The article further situates the issue of SEA by peacekeepers in the post-conflict (gendered) context in which it occurs, arguing that the resolution does not challenge the underlying norms and gendered relations of power that underpin peace operations. Instead, the resolution frames SEA as chiefly an issue of embarrassment for the United Nations and makes scant mention of the populations that peace operations are mandated to protect, as well as the perspectives and needs of victims of SEA.
In 2013, a UN investigation declared sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) ‘the most significant risk to UN peacekeeping missions, above and beyond other key risks including protection of civilians’. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon himself asserted that ‘a single substantiated case of [SEA] involving UN personnel is one case too many’. Yet civilian and military personnel associated with peacekeeping operations (PKOs) continue to perpetrate SEA, despite the development of policy frameworks designed to prevent it and hold perpetrators accountable.
UN peacekeeping missions are plagued by sexual abuse involving mostly women and children. What is known about this is only the tip of the iceberg because there is strong underreporting of sexual abuse.
Peace and security?
So, much more than for "bringing peace and safety" to the world the UN is known for bringing brutal regimes under its wings, housing the world's leading arms dealers, the biggest financial scandal in modern history, not having prevented genocide and child abuse. Globalization provides the power elite with the possibility of corruption on a global scale. World peace is an illusion in a world ruled by these power elite who place themselves above the law, including international law. There's nobody to judge these self-styled judges. Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. William Ralph Inge said:it is useless for the sheep to pass resolutions in favour of vegetarianism while the wolf remains of a different opinion.Peace is not in the nature of the beast.
